The slender tower form of LIGHTHOUSE makes a distinctive contribution to the Burwood skyline. Located close to bustling Burwood Rd the 18-storey residential tower has embraced its site constraints to improve the public domain around it while creating a memorable building above it.
Alliance’s Meridian – Miranda project was featured on Channel 7 News showcasing Aware Super’s public launch of their first purpose-built affordable housing development in Australia.
Critical Milestone Achieved | Meridian
We are proud of the Meridian-Miranda team for their achievement of a critical structural milestone in completion of Block B’s 650m3 transfer slab.
30% of Basement Structure Complete | Meridian
The Meridian – Miranda Team have made great progress in completing all substructure and slab on ground works for our latest Key Worker Affordable Housing Project. Also completed is a major section of Basement 1’s structure along with a considerable amount of vertical elements to support the ground floor slab. With such a sizeable footprint, the substructure had to be split into four separate pours.
Extremely proud of the team for maintaining the works according to schedule whilst in adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols.
Level 3 Complete | Lidcombe Walk
The structure is progressing well at the Lidcombe Walk project having poured Level 3 last Saturday. An excellent feat achieved by the team whilst maintaining COVID-19 protocols and adhering to site safety, quality and environmental policies.
With a prototype apartment currently being built and reviewed by our consultants in terms of compartmentation, passive fire, acoustics and services, we ensure that all quality assurances are in place before the finishes commence on site.
Early Contract Involvement | Imperial, Hurstville
The Imperial – Hurstville development is an iconic structure at the heart of the Hurstville CBD that was completed by APG in July, 2018. With 239 apartments and 3 commercial tenancies constructed over 5 levels of basement, it was commenced through an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) agreement. At its inception, the project deliverables were established between the client and APG, not being limited to: contract price (GMP), program, design and construction methodology, and cost. Upon successfully achieving these key deliverables, we were awarded with a lump-sum D&C contract. Our industry experience and knowledge throughout the ECI stage was pivotal to the successful delivery of this stunning project.
The key issues that we faced in ensuring the success of this iconic project included the following:
- Deferred commencement until Transport NSW’s conditions were satisfied
- Remediation works
- Constant monitoring of 5 levels of basement along the rail corridor
- Engaging with Sydney Airport Authority for crane criteria
- Liaising with Sydney Water
- Two chamber substations
- Stormwater relocation and construction of a culvert within the site boundaries
- Main sewer diversion
- Value management to meet budget
Using Procore at Alliance
In order to adapt in these trying times, we began our move towards a fully integrated remote working model to allow for more virtual collaboration between our team, our subcontractors and our clients.
A key strategy implemented employed the adoption of Procore Technologies’ Construction Management Software to our electronic documentation records in our move towards being a more paperless organisation.
Merging our Integrated Management System into Procore ensures that our quality, safety and environmental standards could be maintained in real time.
Daily site diaries are completed directly from our site team’s mobile phones or tablets, ITPs are maintained electronically, registers are monitored correctly, and drawings are easily accessed.
Monitoring projects in real time brings a good deal of comfort for all stakeholders.
